12/01/06 Peace ~ the Lakeside of Kingdom Life.
I write from the context of battle ~ from a conflict arena; contending for the healing of my son.
Isaiah 26:3 If I am not in perfect peace, I am out of the will of God.
Father, You will keep me in perfect peace, because my mind is stayed on You and I trust You.
~ will keep ~ natsar ~ to guard, protect, maintain, obey, behold, watch, inspect, preserve, like a watchman,
as if to besiege a city.
~ mind ~ yetser ~ thought, imagination, conception, pattern, frame, formation, plans and purposes in the mind,
what is “formed” in the mind.
Gen 8:21 …for the imagination (yetser) of man’s heart is evil from his youth…
~ evil ~ ra ~ bad, inferior quality, the inability to come up to good standards which will benefit.
Dt 31:21 … for I know their imagination…(yetser)…
~ know ~ yada ~ perceive, understand, have knowledge, discern, intimate knowledge, complete
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep me in perfect peace because my mind is stayed on You ~ I trust You.
~ trust ~ batach ~ attach oneself to, confide in, feel safe with, be confident, secure, rely on
When I “batach” with God, my hope is a confident expectation, not a constant anxiety. He is in control.
~ inner tranquility, firm conviction that God’s love is active on my behalf.
Tranquility… the PEACE of God.
Peace ~ shalom ~ more than the absence of war and anxiety, or violence and strife.
Shalom speaks of deep harmony, absolute wholeness, extreme well-being, and abundant tranquility.
Shalom is inconceivable rest in the face of an alarming enemy; an abiding joy in the face of turmoil.
Peace is the Lakeside of Kingdom Life.
Gen 1:31 When God created, He created in peace. All was in harmony ~ His entire creation, at peace.
“Shalom-ing”.
In Eden, disobedience introduced sin. Sin disrupted the peace, the Shalom, of creation.
“Shalom-ing” was altered ~ forever altered ~ constant communion with Father ceased.
Adam and Eve experienced quilt, shame and a loss of inner peace. Translation ~ fear.
During these few weeks, God has spoken to me of this the loss of inner peace, of His Shalom in me.
I told Him it really wasn’t so much my fault.. you know. How can I keep this mind of mine on Him when
all around my family is threats of destruction? It is too hard to strive for perfect peace…
He has caused me to understand a new thing in my life.
A NEW TESTAMENT Moment…. (A.N.M.)
*******************************************
Phil 4:7 and the peace of God which transcends all understanding, beyond all understanding ~ will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
So now I have no excuse for a lack of Shalom.
As I allow it, He will guard of my heart and my mind beyond all understanding.
Truly now, whenever I lose His Shalom… whenever I cease to shalom… I am out of Father’s will. (Isaiah 26:3)
It is the entryway of fear in me that Father guards against.
He hates my fears more than I do. He hates your fears too.
Fear ~ the grim figure who steals my dreams and visions.
Fear ~ the abortionist who kills my life, he guts my Kingdom living and leaves me an empty shell.
Fear ~ the henchman who destroys my purpose and destiny.
Fear ~ the opposite of Shalom.
So my fearing becomes the opposite of my Shalom-ing.
*****************************************************************
When I understood this, Father said to me…. “Fear not – do not be afraid!”
All the verses of Fear Not… close to 365!
Oh how He hates fear! Oh how He loves Shalom!
No wonder He loves Christmas!!
Luke 2:14 Glory to God in the highest and on earth ~ peace (shalom) ~ to men on whom His favor rests.
Isaiah 9:6,7 for unto us, a child is born, a son is given ~
He will be called Wonderful Counselor! Mighty God! Everlasting Father! Prince of Peace! Of the increase of His government and peace (shalom) there will be no end.
Isaiah 32:17 The fruit of righteousness will be peace! The effect of righteousness will be quietness and Confidence forever. 18 My people will live in peaceful (shalom-ing!) dwelling places in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.
Isaiah 48:18 If only you had paid attention to My commands, your peace (shalom) would have been like a
River, your righteousness like waves of the sea.
Isaiah 66:12 the Lord says, I will extend peace to her like a river…
So I am dwelling on this peace and shalom thing. And Rg is talking healing. And I am confused…
Why aren’t we moving together for this Mini-Stirring? So I tell Rg, you are on your own buddy. I will Martha for the Mini-Stirring but I can’t share anything cuz I’m not there.
And suddenly, Father brings peace and healing into focus.
Jer 33:3 Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
6 … Nevertheless (even though they were sinning) I will bring health and healing to them ~ I will heal My people and will let them enjoy abundant peace (shalom) and security.
Isaiah 53:5 He was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities ~ the punishment that brought us peace (shalom) was upon Him and by His wounds we are healed.
Peace ~ shalom-ing ~ is a complete return to the original creation of God!
It is existing in total and extreme well-being, deep harmony, abundant tranquility, the absence of evil.
Fear not! For he who lives in God is afraid of nothing!
Micah 5:5 He will be their peace… shalom.
Another New Testament Moment… (A.N.M.)
***********************************************
We have His Peace because He gave us a Piece. Of Himself.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you! My Shalom I give you!! I do not give as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may shalom! In the world you have trouble, but take heart ~ I have overcome the world!
Isaiah 14:7 All the lands are at rest and at peace ~ they break into singing!
Psalms 85:8 He promises peace to His people – His saints..
Psalms 85: 10 Love and faithfulness meet together ~ righteousness and peace kiss each other..
Psalms 29:11 The Lord gives strength to His people ~ the Lord blesses His people with Peace.
Numbers 6:26 The Lord bless you and keep you.
The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you ~
the Lord turn His face toward you and give you PEACE.
(lacking nothing, complete, receiving all He can give)
Psalms 4:66 Let the light of Your face shine upon us, O Lord.
You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abounds.
I will lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.
This is not a natural place to dwell. I feel like an “unnatural” Daughter-in-law … or an “unnatural” mother.
Where is the dismay? Where are the tears and anguish and sleepless nights?
… for if I embrace the peace.. if I practice the shalom ~ I cannot keep those natural reactions.
To shalom is beyond natural… To shalom is supernatural.
A NTM

I discovered it is like slaloming … this Shalom-ing.
It takes much practice to be good at it. Even the disciples didn’t get it without practice.
John 20:19 the doors were locked for fear (a natural reactions to bad stuff.. the opposite of shalom-ing) Then Jesus came (thru the locked door!) and stood among them and said… “PEACE BE WITH YOU!”
John 20:26 a week later… (the disciples were at shalom practice) the doors were locked..
And Jesus came and stood among them and said..
PEACE BE WITH YOU!”
The salutation of angels… Peace be with you. Luke 24:36 A supernatural place to dwell.
Rom 5:1 therefore since we have been justified thru faith, we have Peace with God thru our Lord Jesus.
Eph 2:14 For He Himself is our Peace!
15 His purpose was to create (back to shalom creation again) in Himself one new man out of 2, The Jew and the gentile thus making peace… (Jesus was an expert shalom-er)
He came and preached peace to you who were near and peace to those who were far.
Col 1:20 God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Jesus ~ and thru Him to reconcile to Him all things, Whether things on earth or things in heaven ~ by making Peace through Jesus blood shed on the cross.
Phil 4:7 and the peace of God which transcends all understanding, beyond all understanding ~ will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Isaiah 26:3 Father, You will keep me in perfect peace, because my mind is stayed on You and I trust You.
Col 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts
since as members of one body
you were called
to Peace.
