6/21/07 ~ Everywhere!
Everywhere I look this "season", God is telling me to "Have FUN!"
But instead I think about deadly serious issues hovering dangerously close,
or nasty health problems pursuing folks I know and love,
or on-the-brink problems our nation faces....
and fun seems ~ well ~ not an option.
But He just keeps repeating... "Have fun!"
In truth, He hasn't been overly impressed with my list of grievances and laments.
This week, my response has finally softened.
Frankly, I can only be hit with His simple message for so long before buckling.
I mean...
How many times can I remind Him of the perils His church faces?
How many times can I talk of the gross misrepresentations made by some of His bride to other parts of His bride?
How many times can I form the serious section of my mouth around things too big for me to even understand...
and have Him repeat the same answer, over and over..
"Have FUN!"
Today He expanded on it a tad. My mouth, like my eyes, are the gateways to me. If I concentrate those on the serious mysterious, and quite honestly,
the negative aspects of life ~ where will that lead me? What are my gates open to? Who am I inviting to dine with me?
Then Father said, "And just Who's problem is this?"
I burst out laughing, cuz that's my "catch-all" phrase to eliminate needless worry from my life.
And here He is, using the very tool, the priceless tool He gave me... on me!
Pretty impressive, heh?
In fact, so impressive that I do think He may be able to carry the serious, profound, and deadly issues of life without my help today,
and maybe even (gasp) tomorrow!
I think its time to follow His suggestion (His command?) and go HAVE FUN!
